Hi, and welcome to the Living Light Photography website.
We are based in Newcastle, and provide wedding and portrait photography to Newcastle and Sydney, and everywhere in between; including the Hunter Valley, Central Coast and Port Stephens.
If requested, we are available for the destination or location of your choice.
Our name comes from the fact that it is light that marks out the events of our lives;
- from a drenching flood of warmth cascading over the dawn horizon,
- the baking sun of an Australian summer at the beach,
- an explosion of colour as the sun slips behind the mountains, to
- the romantic glow of a late night candlelit dinner.

About the photographers
I see photography as the outlet for my creativity, where I can combine technical and artistic excellence to deliver memorable images for you to treasure.
My adventure with photography began as a teenager, always keen to capture the sights and moments as they occurred. With the advent of digital photography, I took the plunge and haven't yet turned back.
The first wedding I shot was as a favour for a friend, and I discovered that wedding photography is a great way to share that special day with people, and provide them with unforgettable memories.
In the years since, I have prided myself on continually improving my skills, and you can trust that I will deliver the very best of images for your special occasion.
I shoot weddings together with Giuliana, my wife, who combines an eye for detail with great people skills and timing. Together, we aim to put you at ease, help you relax and enjoy your special day, while we take care of capturing your memories.
About our qualifications and equipment
Josh is an Emerging Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). What this means for you is that I am bound by their Code of Ethics, to maintain high standards of professional competence and business ethics.
We use Canon digital SLR cameras and accessories to take our photos.
Post-processing is done on Apple Macintosh computers with colour-managed displays.
Printing and albums are carried out solely through professional vendors.
