Kate and Adam brighten up Civic Park

We originally planned to head to Newcastle Baths for these photos with Kate and Adam, but I couldn’t find the baths under all the water, so we went to Civic Park instead.

Spring is definitely on the way, with the poppies blooming in the park to give us some colour. Kate and Adam added even more sparkle to the place with their crazy jumping around.

Hope you enjoy the photos, and be sure to ask Adam about his pants! We’ll see you in Port Macquarie for the wedding.

Brooke and Geoff brave the weather at Merewether Baths

As if winter needed to go out with a bang, the weekend we had this engagement photo session saw some pretty lousy weather. Although we were at Merewether Baths, you almost couldn’t see them for the waves crashing over and the rain pouring down.

Brooke and Geoff were great sports and braved the wind and rain so we could get these photos. Then it was time to rush home for a hot cuppa. Let’s hope the weather is better on your wedding day guys!

Spring update

Well, it seems like winter is over. It’s time to clear the cobwebs out and get ready for spring. This also means that it’s time for wedding season!

It’s a wedding every weekend from now until November, when we’ll be taking time off to welcome a new Marshall into the world.

I’ve been busy with engagement sessions ahead of the next few weddings, and they’ll be posted shortly. There’s also been a few small changes to the blog here. In particular, new posts will have much larger images for you to enjoy.

Sensitive Freight at the Bar on the Hill

This last Wednesday night, I went along to see Sensitive Freight, a band with some friends and my brother. They played at the Bar on the Hill, a great little venue at the University of Newcastle.

As I always have my camera in tow, I’ve been nominated their “official” photographer:), and so you get to enjoy some photos of the show.

You can check out some of their songs and find out about any upcoming gigs at the Sensitive Freight myspace page or the Sensitive Freight Facebook page.

Website service restored

Apologies if you came by in the last few days, when the website was down.

An explosion in the power room at a data center took down around 9,000 servers hosting websites, including this one. There’s a news article about it if you are so inclined.

In any case, we’re back up now, and hopefully everything should be running smoothly.
